Seattle Location Update – 3704 S Ferdinand St

We’re excited to share the latest progress on our Seattle center!

Current Status 9/2/2025

Construction is moving forward and we’re now in the finishing phase of the project. The last major hurdle before opening is the installation of new water and fire service by Seattle Public Utilities (SPU). SPU’s current schedule places this work in mid-December 2025, a few months later than our original October goal. We’ve asked SPU to review our case and consider an earlier timeline, and we’ll update families as soon as we hear more.

What’s Happening on Site

  • Drywall finishing wrapped on August 29

  • Painting (prime/drop coat) is underway this week (Sep 1–4)

  • September 5: Casework, bathroom finishes, electrical fixtures, and HVAC trim begin

  • September 10–22: Flooring installation

  • Late September: Doors, partitions, toilet accessories, and kitchen equipment

  • October 3: Final clean

  • October 6–8: Final inspections (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire, building, health)

  • October 9: Targeted turnover date

Key milestones already complete include new windows (July 21–28) and a full roof replacement (late July); critical steps that allowed interior finishes to move forward on schedule.

Why It Matters

This center isn’t just walls and classrooms; it’s a community space being built for (and with) families. Every step forward brings us closer to welcoming children into these bright new rooms.
